Yet some of the finest view properties in the city are located here. Houses along Wall street sit just above the now closed Commissioner street, and beyond that lies the river, mountains and an unobstructed view from Second Narrows to downtown.  House prices in this neighborhood average about $800,000, with the higher prices in the 1 million range sitting on 66ft frontages along Wall or Yale street and offering expansive views.

Parks are also a bonus in this area. Just a few blocks from the PNE grounds (but surprisingly quiet considering) and close to Renfrew Park and New Brighton, there is lots of space to walk the dog or throw a football. Because there is little through traffic due to the location, it is not uncommon to see the neighborhood kids engaging in a game of road hockey, calling "car" and moving the goal net to let you pass by.

The obligatory Starbucks is on Hastings at Kaslo however I much prefer the homey Laughing Bean at Hastings and Slocan. Owned by Wayne and Rebecca Bertrand, this local hangout offers cool music and great atmosphere as well as fantastic coffee drinks.

This community oriented neighborhood is perhaps best known as the location for the Trinity Street Festival of Lights each Christmas, fundraising for Cottage Hospice and Harbour View Daycare. The entire street is lit up and is a true spectacle with nearly every house decorated. A great way to spend Christmas Eve is to get a hot chocolate "to go" at the Laughing Bean and take a stroll to look at the displays. If that doesn't get you in the spirit of the season nothing will!
